Haley didn’t say much of anything the entire time they were in the car. Shire didn’t push anything to escape his lips, neither did anyone else while the rode on. Only noise that came from the car was Kai and Aziel’s little babbling contest. Haley’s eyes had turned a darker shade, almost gray-blue with the mixes of negative emotions that he felt so brutally right now…Shi noticed it…she always noticed the switch in his eye color and the sudden changes in his movements. She kept her eyes on him for the most part, even if he didn’t really want to talk right now.
Shire was a bit crestfallen since she didn’t know what to do…they were a distance away due to Kai’s carseat in the middle so she couldn’t reach over and grab his hand…she couldn’t lean on him like normally. The car ride pretty much felt like an eternity.
